Ever since moving to DC I think I have chalked up several thousand air travel miles. It helps that I live in Washington DC, and am from Washington state.
Prior to my cross-country jump, I was notoriously known as the over-packer. I would pack for rain, snow, and sleet when going to a place that was tropical. Or I would pack 10 outfits for a 3 night trip.
“You never know what could happen while you are away” was my mantra.
I bought 2 pieces of luggage that were a gorgeous and bright orange color. No one is to ever mistake my luggage for theirs, it was that great!
Well something changed when I moved to the district. I became an efficient and strategic packer. I am not sure if it was the increase in the short trips via a plane, or if something just snapped when I moved, but I have gotten to the point where I can pack a whole weeks worth of stuff in a carry-on bag.
It must be pure talent. Yes, that is it.
Like I said, I have two pieces of luggage that are too big to carry-on, and was lacking in the carry-on luggage department. So I made the jump, and purchased a new carry-on piece of luggage, and it has changed my life.
Can luggage change your life? Yes, it can.
